The Birria Taco Stand is a birria taco catering business in British Columbia, Canada. This page explains what we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it. We follow BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you send a catering request, we collect what you type into the form:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your event type, estimated guest count and event date
- anything you add in the details box, such as dietary needs
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and records things like pages viewed, browser type and approximate location. It does not receive what you type into the form. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
Why we collect it
We use your request only to reply to you, prepare a quote and plan your event. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't send marketing emails or texts.
Who can see it
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. Only the people running the business read requests. The service providers we rely on store it for us: Cloudflare hosts the website and the database that holds form submissions, and Zoho hosts our email. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, where it can be subject to local laws.
How long we keep it
We keep a catering request for as long as we need it to respond and deliver your event, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can help with repeat bookings. After that we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your choices: access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email mahdi@thebirriatacostand.com from the address you used on the form (or call (778) 522-1552) and tell us what you'd like us to do. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
